K arachi: The discussion and considerations are being held among political bigwigs of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for handing over the Sindh province’s Home Ministry to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
According to a media report, names of Raza Haroon and Syed Sardar Ahmed are taken into deliberation for the Sindh home minister.
Earlier, Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan was removed from his office for ‘reasons other than political’. He, however, refused to accept another portfolio in the provincial cabinet.
Presently, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah holds the post until a suitable replacement can be found.
There were also news in media that MQM has traded their votes of confidence for Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf in exchange of the Home Ministry.
Now that’s the way to do it, and have most confidence that if MQM has the home ministry the law & order situation will definitely improve.
Of course ANP will throw a fit and a lot of hue n cry but hey that’s what the deal is.
In era of Musharraf there was only 01 organized military wing affiliated to MQM but now we have 02 more ANP and PPP related. So, MQM is misunderstanding the situation and comparing their home ministry to then. However, lets hope best for Karachi, my city
