I slamabad: Information Secretary of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Senator Mushahidullah has asked Interior Minister Rehman Malik to be ashamed of himself.
Talking to saach.tv, Senator Mushahidullah said that Rehman Malik should be ashamed of himself as according to his oath, he is bound to start an investigation and approach the courts if there is any evidence with him, rather he is using documents in press conferences to hide his own corruption.
He said that Federal Investigation Agency and National Accountability Bureau, all are at government’s disposal and government should use them, instead of conducting press conferences and maligning opponents. “If these allegations are true then why doesn’t government knock the door of courts?” asked Mushahidullah.
Senator Mushahidullah said that Rehman Malik’s words do not matter much. He challenged Rehman Malik’s credibility and referred to the words of Zulfiqar Mirza (Ex-Interior Minister for PPP in Sindh), who labeled Rehman Malik as a habitual liar.
Responding to the allegations put forward by Rehman Malik, Senator Mushahidullah said that mere rhetoric is of no use, Rehman Malik must come up with a substantive action, if there is any truth in those cases.
He further said that there have many fabricated cases against PML-N since 1990s and none of them have been proved in the court of law.
He said that the government is sliding under the feet of Pakistan People’s Party, they are in a panic situation and that is why they have resorted to such tactics. He also said that Supreme Court has termed the Prime Minister of this government a convict, which ends all the remaining credibility of the government and there is no point for them to stay in charge.
He said that all these allegations from Rehman Malik are blatant lies and he is using these tactics to hide his own corruption.
“Rehman Malik was a very ordinary employee at Federal Investigation Agency. He used his political influence to get promoted to Additional Director and later ran from Pakistan through Afghanistan. I have witnessed his property worth billions in Pakistan and even in United Kingdom as well,” Mushahidullah told saach.tv.
