Islamabad: Lashkar-e-Balochistan has claimed responsibility for the bomb blast at Lahore Railway Station that killed two people and injured dozens on Tuesday.
In a statement Wednesday, the organization said the blast was to avenge the killings of Baloch women in Karachi and recovery of mutilated bodies in Balochistan.
This is that first time the militant organization has claimed responsibility for an attack outside Pakistan’s restive province of Balochistan.
According to a report, a spokesperson of Lashkar-e-Balochistan, Khan Baloch telephoned news outlets in Quetta, claiming that the explosion was a reaction to killing of Baloch women and children, targetted killings and recovery of mutilated bodies in Balochistan.
He added that the organization was forced to target innocent civilians after use of brutal force by Pakistan’s ecurity forces in Karachi and Balochistan.
Lashkar-e-Balochistan is active in Balochistan from several years and has been involved in insurgency in the province.
