B arcelona: Ten-man Chelsea came back from two goals behind to level the game and win on aggregate score in the semi-final of Champions League.

In a feisty affair at the Camp Nou, Chelsea suffered a great setback of the night when their skipper was sent off with a red card. In an off the ball incident, Chelsea skipper hit the Barcelona striker with his knee and that led to his dismissal.

Barcelona pounced on the opportunity of having 10 man team up against them and upped the tempo of the game.

Barcelona’s first goal came in when Sergio Busquets tapped the ball in goal in 35th minute of the game.

Seven minutes later, Messi’s magic worked and his brilliant work paved the way for Andreas Iniesta to scroll the ball past Cech and make it 2-0 to Barcelona.

Chelsea looked down and out after the second goal but couple of minutes later, out of the blue Chelsea were able to get a goal back. Ramires, in the 45th minute, scored an incredible goal when he chipped the ball over Victor Valdes to give Chelsea lead in the aggregate.

In the second half, Chelsea virtually passed the bus in front of the goal and went into defensive mood.

Chelsea’s resilience was complimented by a missed penalty from Lionel Messi.

Barcelona came at the Londoners’ goal again and again but Chelsea defence, Petr Cech, in particular warded off all the threats.

Chelsea put the game to the bed when in the dying minutes, Torres capitalized on the counter attack and coolly went past Victor Valdes to make it 2-2 and 3-2 at aggregate for Chelsea.

Tonight, the other semi final will be played between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich and that game will decide the other finalist against Chelsea.
